HighCamp Compliance Welcomes Erika Chua, CFA as Director

Los Angeles – January 8, 2025HighCamp Compliance, a boutique, employee owned and operated compliance consulting and outsourcing firm, announced today that Erika Chua, CFA has joined the firm as a Director. Erika, who is based in Los Angeles, comes to the firm from ACA Group, where she spent 12 years and most recently served as a Director.

At ACA Group, Erika specialized in guiding real estate and private fund managers on a wide range of compliance issues, including leading and managing annual compliance program reviews, performing mock SEC inspections, conducting focused reviews of client-specific risk areas, and providing ongoing compliance support. Erika’s extensive experience working with real estate managers greatly complements HighCamp’s strong real estate practice.

Erika will be a great resource to our clients, particularly those in the real estate space” said HighCamp Partner Colleen Marencik, who worked closely with Erika in their prior roles. “On a personal level, Erika shares HighCamp’s values and will be a tremendous asset to our growing team,” said Colleen.

Most of HighCamp’s team, advisory board, and now Chua have worked together in roles at either the SEC or ACA Group since as early as 2003.

Highcamp is also pleased to expand its Morristown, NJ office with the addition of two new associates. Christopher McManus joins HighCamp as a Senior Associate, bringing 10 years of regulatory consulting experience. Anastasia Velkov, J.D., is a recent graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law and joins HighCamp as an Associate.

Most recently, Christopher was Vice President at Alternative Regulatory Solutions in New Jersey, where he spearheaded a range of different initiatives, including the adoption of industry best practices in cybersecurity, data protection, and record retention; the enhancing of operational efficiency; and the successful execution of multiple compliance surveillance programs, among other projects. Christopher has extensive experience in regulatory compliance, strategic management, and digital transformation initiatives. He received his B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University and his MBA, cum laude, from Rutgers Business School.

Anastasia graduated recently from the Roger Williams University School of Law. While working towards her J.D., Anastasia held a range of intern and pro bono positions in the legal industry.
